In January–April 2026, the median price of mineral fertilizers in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai reached 150 rubles, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the number of purchases fell by 2%, according to Kommersant-Kuban, citing Chek Index data from Platforma OFD. Despite the decline in transaction volume, experts note that overall demand for fertilizers in the region remains stable: the total volume of purchases has barely changed year-on-year. Gardeners and owners of household plots continue buying plant treatment products but are increasingly choosing more expensive options — a shift that directly influences price dynamics.
Analysts attribute the price increase to rising costs of imported components, logistics, and packaging, as well as a growing share of premium products in the demand structure. Additionally, there is a noticeable rise in interest in plant protection products. Due to weather risks and the desire to preserve harvests, consumers are actively purchasing treatments for disease prevention and pest control — reflecting greater attention to crop care. Earlier, Vedomosti Yug reported that in 2025, fertilizer imports to Krasnodar Krai grew by 14.2% year-on-year, reaching 6,400 tons. In December 2025, the average price of ammophos fertilizers in the Southern Federal District stood at 47,500 rubles.
