As the Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Yerbol Taszhurekov stated during the round table “Development of the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan: opportunities for investors”, there is a significant unrealized potential for building up bilateral partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany. In this regard, it is necessary to intensify contacts between ministries, industry associations and agricultural producers of the two countries.
First of all, the Kazakh side is interested in developing projects in the field of deep processing of grain, processing of oilseeds, potatoes, sugar beet, fruits and vegetables, meat and milk.
Among the key factors of the investment attractiveness of the Kazakh agro-industrial complex, the official highlighted land resources and human capital. According to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2023, the gross inflow of foreign direct investment in agriculture of the republic amounted to 39.9 million US dollars.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan also noted that the republic provides favorable framework conditions for investors and investment projects in the agricultural sector.
