Stavropol Harvest Nears Halfway Mark with 83,000 Tonnes Collected at Above-Average Yields
Potato harvesting in Russia’s Stavropol region is approaching the halfway point, with more than 2,000 hectares — 43% of the planned area — already cleared across ten districts. Roughly 83,000 tonnes have been lifted at a yield of 36.3 t/ha, comfortably above the Russian national average. Notably, only 565 tonnes have been placed into storage against a total capacity of around 43,000 tonnes, meaning the overwhelming majority of the crop is heading straight to market rather than being held back.
