The Agriculture Council of Antigua City Council offers this free course on October 29, 30 and 31.
- For the first time in Antigua, a Workshop on potato cultivation is taught, being one of the most production municipalities on the island of this tuber.
- Avoid diseases or pests and increase yields in planting and collecting potatoes, among the objectives of the Course.
- Registration can now be made until you fill places, accepting applications according to rigorous order of entry by General Register and always with preference to the neighbors and neighbors registrations in the Municipality of Antigua.
The City Council of Antigua from the Council of Agriculture offers a course on Good Practices for the Cultivation of the Pope that is taught during the 29th, 30th and 31st of October offering each day a training talk from 17:00 to 21:00 hours.
The Course is offered free of charge to all interested persons, with preference in the registration to the neighbors or neighbors registration in the Municipality of Antigua, and according to the order of entry by General Register of the City of Antigua or Tenencia de Alcaldía in Caleta de Fuste, details the councilor of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Fernando Estupignan. This course is part of a training program and activities that from the area council we will announce in the coming days and before the end of the year, adds the councilor. The course on potato cultivation will be taught by professionals in the sector with extensive field experience, says Fernando Estupignan, providing the most innovative techniques of cultivation, plant protection, land improvement, avoiding pests and guaranteeing the harvest according to each season, are some of the objectives of these training talks.
Supporting the primary sector in all its aspects is the goal of the City of Antigua, organizing training courses in the agricultural, fisheries and livestock sector, which, like the one announced on the Cultivation of the Pope, for the first time is taught on the island, says the mayor, Matías Peña García.
