Earlier, Nsabimana was a technician at the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) in Musanze. He has also worked in potato breeding and spent five years training and advising farmers, seed producers and cooperatives along the potato value chain. He holds an MSc in Crop Science from the University of Rwanda (CAVM), completed in October 2026.
Areas of expertise
- Aeroponics
- Seed production
- Apical cutting production
- Greenhouse construction
- Plant nutrient formulation
He is happy to comment on seed potato quality and certification, aeroponic and Sandponic technology, apical cutting production, plant nutrient formulation, seed systems in East Africa and smallholder training.
WHY IT MATTERS
The supply of clean early-generation seed sets the limit for what growers can achieve in the field. For seed producers, traders and growers in East Africa and beyond, a specialist who runs minituber production at scale and has also trained farmers and cooperatives offers a practical view of how seed systems work from the greenhouse to the farm.
