Russia: Agroprom Ural 2026 Drew More Than 1,000 Specialists to Yekaterinburg, With the Potato Union as Partner
The 5th Agroprom Ural exhibition in Yekaterinburg on 27–29 October gathered more than 1,000 specialists and over 80 speakers, with a dedicated potato and vegetable section and the Potato Union as partner.
The 5th Agroprom Ural exhibition of agricultural machinery, materials and equipment for livestock and crop production took place on 27–29 October 2026 at the Yekaterinburg-Expo exhibition centre, alongside the 14th Interregional Agro-Industrial Exhibition of the Urals Federal District (MAV UFO). According to the organisers, more than 1,000 industry specialists attended over three days, and the combined events drew more than 7,500 visitors.

Why it matters
The Urals Federal District is a large consumer market with a short growing season, and its potato and vegetable growers depend on access to seed, crop protection, storage and processing know-how. A regional show that brings growers, input suppliers, retailers and regional agriculture ministries into one place gives producers a practical venue to compare technologies and negotiate supply.
A “field to shelf” format
Agroprom Ural ran in parallel with InterFood Ural, FoodTech Ural and the Translogistica Ural forum, following the “from field to shelf” concept that links production, processing, logistics and distribution. Exhibitors presented livestock and crop equipment, agrochemicals, seed and veterinary products. The official opening was attended by Artyom Zhoga, the presidential envoy to the Urals Federal District, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Roman Nekrasov and heads of the district’s regions.

Potatoes on the business programme
More than 80 experts spoke at the business programme, including agriculture ministers and officials from the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Kurgan regions, the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi autonomous districts, and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agroexport and the Centre for Agroanalytics. On 27 October a dedicated section discussed “a single chain: soil, crop rotation and deep processing in potato and vegetable growing”, followed by a debate between vegetable producers, retailers and the HoReCa sector on turning quality raw material into a profitable product.
The Potato and Vegetable Market Participants Union (Potato Union), which unites 25 of Russia’s largest potato and open-field vegetable producers and was founded in 2011, was a partner of the exhibition. Tatiana Gubina of the Potato Union took part in the business programme. Rosselkhozbank was also a partner, and VIS-AGRO was the general sponsor of the business programme.
