WHY IT MATTERS
Seed quality sets the limit for what a potato crop can yield, and access to clean seed remains a practical constraint for many growers. Rooted cuttings are being tested in several countries as one way to multiply seed faster, as in farmer-managed demonstrations in Kenya. For growers and seed traders in India, a specialist who works directly with ARC and minitubers offers a first-hand view of how decentralised seed production can work. Reddy joins the panel alongside Navid Suthar and Harsh Patel, who were introduced earlier.
