The Nizhny Novgorod Region achieved significant success in agricultural exports during the first quarter of 2026, shipping 18,400 tons of potatoes abroad. The supplies were carried out under the supervision of the regional branch of Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog. All exported products underwent mandatory laboratory testing to ensure quality and safety.
The potatoes were purchased by Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Turkmenistan. The quality and safety of the produce were confirmed by test reports from the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the FGBI “VNIIZZH” (Federal Center for Animal Health) as well as official conclusions regarding its quarantine phytosanitary status. It was determined that all controlled batches fully comply with the import requirements of the three buyer countries.
