Mumbai, India — The VAFA Fresh Vegetables & Fruits Exporters Association, in collaboration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), will organise an international Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (RBSM) alongside the 8th Fresh India Show 2026. The event is scheduled to take place on 29–30 May 2026 at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The upcoming Fresh India Show 2026 is expected to bring together a wide range of participants from the global fresh produce industry, including overseas importers, supermarket chains, sourcing companies, wholesalers, distributors, exporters, producer organisations, logistics companies, cold-chain operators, packaging solution providers, agri-tech firms, processors, QSR representatives, and other key stakeholders.
At a time when global sourcing patterns are changing rapidly, international buyers are increasingly looking for stable, diversified, and reliable supply chains. Free Trade Agreements, geopolitical tensions, logistics disruptions, and rising demand for fresh and high-quality produce are pushing the global fruit and vegetable sector to seek new partnerships and alternative sourcing destinations.
Against this backdrop, Fresh India Show 2026 aims to become an important strategic platform for strengthening international trade relations and expanding India’s presence in the global fresh fruits and vegetables market.
The Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet will give international buyers a direct opportunity to meet leading Indian exporters and explore India’s broad range of fresh fruits and vegetables. The format is designed to support structured B2B meetings, business networking, trade discussions, and the development of long-term sourcing partnerships.
Over the years, Fresh India Show has established itself as one of India’s leading exhibitions for the fruits and vegetables industry. The event serves as a meeting point for growers, exporters, importers, retailers, processors, cold-chain specialists, packaging companies, agri-tech businesses, and global supply-chain participants.
In addition to the exhibition and buyer–seller meetings, the 2026 edition will include conferences and networking sessions focused on key industry topics such as export opportunities, market trends, quality standards, logistics, packaging innovations, and supply-chain solutions.
APEDA, operating under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, plays an important role in promoting exports of agricultural and processed food products. Its work includes trade facilitation, infrastructure support, quality improvement, branding, and international market promotion.
Industry stakeholders believe that initiatives such as the Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet and Fresh India Show 2026 can make a significant contribution to the vision of positioning India as “the Fruits & Vegetables Basket of the World.” By strengthening export linkages, promoting Indian produce internationally, and supporting direct dialogue between Indian exporters and overseas buyers, the event is expected to open new opportunities for bilateral and global trade.
