Farmers in Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz Region have begun harvesting this year’s potato crop, which was planted across a total area of 8,800 hectares, according to the news source “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.” The campaign was率先 launched by the “10 ýyl Abadanlyk” agricultural association in the Boldumsaz District, where potatoes were cultivated on 345 hectares. Turkmenbashi District, where 500 hectares have been dedicated to potato production this season.
Local agricultural officials attribute the consistently strong yields achieved in recent years to the careful selection of the most suitable potato varieties. By prioritizing high-yielding, disease-resistant, and low-maintenance cultivars that are well-adapted to local soil and climatic conditions, farmers are able to secure both quantitative and qualitative results.
