THE URAL BREEDING CENTER CONTINUES TO BREED NEW VARIETIES OF POTATOES

Modern technologies allow growing early ripe and frost-resistant plants.

More than 20,000 potato plants were located in two greenhouses with a total area of ​​almost 600 square meters. Now in Russia there are only five such breeding centers. Their uniqueness is in the phytotron installation. They artificially create favorable conditions for potato sprouts, and therefore, in one year, farmers can collect about 150 thousand mini-tubers. In addition, the selection and seed center continues to breed new varieties of plants that are not afraid of frost and ripen earlier than usual.
