In connection with inquiries regarding the dates of the fall application of fertilizers – the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development would like to remind you that in exceptional situations it is possible to use fertilizers on arable land until November 30.
This applies to situations where the farmer is unable to harvest or fertilize due to unfavorable weather conditions. The possibility of using fertilizers until November 30 is applicable, among others in the event of excessive soil moisture (e.g. as a result of torrential rains) or agricultural drought.
Unfavorable weather conditions most often occur locally, therefore the agricultural producer should independently assess the possibility of autumn harvesting and fertilization taking into account the prevailing weather conditions. However, it should be remembered that fertilization in such situations cannot be performed later than the end of November.
