Governor of the Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha held a working meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of the region Leonid Gromov.
The topic of discussion was the situation in the agro-industrial complex of the region, the head of the region said in his telegram channel.
“We are increasing the share of arable land from year to year. Since this year, farmers have received significant financial support in this work. The state program of involvement in the circulation of agricultural land has begun to operate. 5 of our projects passed the competitive selection, subsidies will amount to about 40 million rubles. The following year, they showed up with projects worth almost 10 times more. I set the task to actively work in this direction in order to receive these funds. These are new opportunities to achieve 100% use of agricultural land at an accelerated pace,”
the governor noted.
He also stressed that this will increase yields. This year the harvest of grain, potatoes, vegetables and rapeseed is expected to be twice as much as last year. In addition, there are plans to reach 9,000 kilograms of milk per cow. According to the daily productivity of cows, the Kaluga region ranks second in the Central Federal District and in Russia.
There is also support for Kaluga farmers, large holdings, Russian investors and foreign partners. Over 16 years, 117 billion rubles have been invested in the region’s agro-industrial complex, and the investment portfolio continues to grow.
