A Closer Look at the Operations and Innovations Driving Potato Processing at Wilhelm Weuthen GmbH & Co. KG

As Wilhelm Weuthen GmbH & Co. KG continues to make waves in the agricultural industry, we turn our attention to one of our standout locations: Ameln. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Ameln site has been a cornerstone of innovation and excellence since its inception in 2004.

At the heart of the Ameln facility lies a dedication to processing “Drillinge” potatoes, sourced from across Europe and prepared for the canning industry. Equipped with state-of-the-art conveyor belts and a dedicated potato washing facility, the site ensures the highest quality standards are met with every batch.

In addition to its focus on Drillinge potatoes, the Ameln location also specializes in the cultivation and processing of Speisefrühkartoffeln, or early table potatoes. With the capacity to store and dry potatoes on-site, the facility offers a comprehensive solution for potato processing needs. Since 2009, our storage halls have boasted a capacity of 8,500 metric tons, ensuring ample space for the storage and preservation of harvested crops.

Overseeing operations at the Ameln site are Martin Goebbels and Thomas van Wickeren, whose leadership and expertise drive the success of the facility. Supported by a dedicated team of 10 employees, they ensure seamless operations and uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in potato sorting and processing.

As we look to the future, the Ameln team is actively seeking to expand its workforce in the commercial sector and welcomes applications from qualified candidates. With opportunities for growth and advancement, joining the Weuthen family promises to be a rewarding and fulfilling career choice.

In conclusion, the Ameln location of Wilhelm Weuthen GmbH & Co. KG stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the agricultural industry. With 20 years of success behind us and a vision for the future, we are proud to continue pushing the boundaries of potato processing and delivering superior quality products to our customers worldwide. Join us in celebrating this milestone anniversary and in shaping the future of potato processing at Weuthen.
