FEPEX, Fruit Attraction and Europatat will jointly host the first International Potato Symposium on 5 October 2026 at IFEMA Madrid, bringing together more than 400 participants. According to the 15 September 2026 announcement, the programme will cover production, trade, plant health and the role of potatoes in EU food security. Among the confirmed speakers are Europatat President P. Ton and representatives of CropLife Europe, underscoring the event’s focus on both commercial and regulatory dimensions of the sector.
For the frozen potato trade (FPP), the symposium represents a valuable in-person opportunity to engage directly with Europe’s leading trade association and with CropLife Europe. Such contacts can support dialogue on phytosanitary rules, market access and supply-chain issues at a time when European processing potato supply is tightening and trade flows are shifting.
