Renowned agricultural company Solana Rus LLC recently showcased its promising table potato varieties at the “Yuzefov N.N. Second Bread on Price Swings” agricultural enterprise in the Semikarakorsky District of the Rostov Region, Russia. With a vast area of 1,400 hectares of irrigated land and an impressive yield potential of up to 60 tons per hectare, this event highlighted Solana Rus’ commitment to delivering high-quality table potatoes. The successful introduction of their potato varieties demonstrated their competitiveness in the market and their dedication to sustainable agricultural practices.

Event at Yuzefov N.N. Agricultural Enterprise:
This year, Solana Rus independently presented its table potato varieties at the Yuzefov N.N. agricultural enterprise in the Semikarakorsky District of the Rostov Region. Five notable table potato varieties were featured: Prada, Belmonda, Labela, Red Lady, and Queen Anna. Attendees at this informative event had the opportunity to witness firsthand the impressive performance of Solana Rus’ potato varieties, which stood out among their competitors. Of particular interest was the Prada variety, known for its early maturation with a vegetation period of 60-70 days. Currently, Prada has achieved a biological yield of approximately 40 tons per hectare, and its robust foliage growth holds the potential for even higher yields. Similar positive growth trends were observed with the other table potato varieties.

Phytophthora Resistance:
Despite the prevalent occurrence of Phytophthora, a destructive disease affecting potato crops in the Rostov Region, Solana Rus’ varieties have demonstrated remarkable resistance, with no signs of infection observed in their trial plots. This disease resistance adds value to their potato varieties, ensuring reliable and healthy harvests for farmers.

Expanding Market Opportunities:
The introduction of Solana Rus’ table potato varieties at the Yuzefov N.N. agricultural enterprise signifies the company’s commitment to expanding its market presence and diversifying its offerings. By actively participating in agricultural events and showcasing their high-quality products, Solana Rus aims to attract more farmers and buyers, establishing itself as a trusted partner in the agricultural industry.

Solana Rus’ participation in the table potato showcase at the Yuzefov N.N. agricultural enterprise has been a resounding success, highlighting the impressive performance of their potato varieties and their dedication to sustainable agricultural practices. The event underscored Solana Rus’ commitment to providing farmers with notable and high-yielding varieties that are resistant to prevalent diseases. By continuously improving and expanding their product range, Solana Rus aims to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the Rostov Region and beyond.

The next steps for Solana Rus include further research and development to enhance their existing varieties, exploring new markets and partnerships, and continuing to educate and support farmers in implementing sustainable farming practices.
