Russian Potato Breeders Validate 11 Domestic Varieties in Moscow Region Greenhouse Trial

Specialists from the Rosselkhoztsentr branch have conducted an approbation (field inspection and variety verification) of second-generation potato planting material grown in protected ground at an enterprise in the Dmitrov municipal district, according to a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region. The inspection covered 11 varieties of Russian selection: five registered varieties — Karmen, Atletik, Sarmat, Indigo, and Agronaut — along with six promising samples currently undergoing selection trials. During the check, experts assessed the varietal purity of the plants, their general condition, and the presence of diseases and pests, with samples collected evenly across the entire greenhouse area.
