Russian Phytosanitary Inspectors Clear 8,500 Tonnes of Potatoes for Chip Production in Moscow Region
Specialists from the Southern Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor have inspected 8,500 tonnes of fresh food potatoes in the Otradnensky district of Krasnodar Krai. At JSC “Plemzavod Urupsky,” eight quarantine phytosanitary inspections were carried out between 9 July and 1 October 2026. Samples collected during the checks were sent for expert examination to the Southern branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VNIIZZH.” Neither visual examination nor laboratory conclusions revealed any quarantine objects in the products.
The potatoes are being sent to Moscow Oblast, where they will be used to produce chips. Each batch is accompanied by a quarantine certificate, with a total of 354 such documents issued. The inspections confirm that the consignments meet phytosanitary requirements and can be safely transported for further processing.
