Discover the rich history and enduring success of Quik’s Quality Potatoes, a family business that has been a trusted partner in the retail, food service, and food industry for over 85 years. From its humble beginnings in 1932 to its evolution into a leading producer of unprocessed potatoes, chilled potato products, and specialties, Quik’s has maintained a commitment to tradition, innovation, and consistent quality. Learn about the company’s journey, its expansion into potato processing, and the next-generation leaders who continue to drive Quik’s success today.

Quik’s Quality Potatoes traces its roots back to 1932 when Hendrik Quik founded his potato business. With a passion for potatoes and a strong work ethic, Hendrik instilled the same values in his sons, Andries and Peter, who later took over the family business. This marked the birth of H. Quik en Zonen B.V., a company that would become synonymous with quality and reliability in the potato industry.

Over the years, H. Quik en Zonen recognized the importance of adapting to changing market demands. In 2001, Quik’s made a strategic move into potato processing, expanding its offerings to include ready-to-cook potato products and specialties. This decision allowed Quik’s to cater to the evolving needs of customers while maintaining its unwavering commitment to delivering the finest potatoes.

The year 2015 marked a significant milestone for Quik’s as Quik’s Verse Aardappelen and Quik’s Potato Products merged to form Quik’s Quality Potatoes. This consolidation brought together the expertise and resources of both entities, solidifying Quik’s position as a leading player in the potato industry. The merger also paved the way for streamlined operations, enhanced efficiency, and improved customer satisfaction.

Today, Quik’s Quality Potatoes continues to thrive under the guidance of the next generation. The Management Board comprises three individuals who are dedicated to upholding Quik’s legacy and driving the company forward. Peter Quik leads Quik’s Potato Products, ensuring the production of high-quality potato offerings. Gerrit Oomen heads Quik’s Verse Aardappelen, focusing on delivering fresh and top-notch potatoes. Jurriaan Oudejans oversees Quik’s Research & Development, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

With decades of experience and a commitment to excellence, Quik’s Quality Potatoes has become a trusted name in the industry. Customers in retail, food service, and the food industry rely on Quik’s to provide them with top-grade unprocessed potatoes, chilled potato products, and specialties. The company’s dedication to quality, variety, and innovation has enabled consumers both at home and abroad to enjoy delicious potatoes every day.

Quik’s Quality Potatoes stands as a shining example of a successful family business that has navigated the challenges of time while remaining true to its core values. With its strong foundation of tradition and a relentless pursuit of quality, Quik’s is poised to continue its growth and success well into the future.

Our history reaches back to 1932, the year Hendrik Quik set up in his potato business. His sons were involved in the company from an early age and after a time, sons Andries and Peter Quik took over the business, making H. Quik en Zonen B.V. a reality. With an eye to developments, H. Quik en Zonen expanded as the years past. In 2001, Quik’s started processing potatoes as well, producing ready-to-cook potato products and specialities.

In 2015, Quik’s Verse Aardappelen and Quik’s Potato Products merged to became Quik’s Quality Potatoes. Nowadays, the Management Board of the different divisions consists of three people from the next generation: Peter Quik is the Director of Quik’s Potato Products, Gerrit Oomen heads Quik’s Verse Aardappelen and Jurriaan Oudejans is in charge of Quik’s Research & Development.
