Purple Power on the Plot: Tyumen Gardeners Get Access to Elite Seed Potatoes and Healthy Seedlings

As the dacha season kicks off, gardeners in Tyumen are on the lookout for quality planting materials, and the local agricultural firm “KRiMM” is ready to meet the demand. Starting April 8, the company’s branded stores will offer a wide selection of seed potatoes, featuring over 10 varieties in the “elite” and “super-elite” categories. Among the standout novelties is the purple potato, which boasts not only an unusual color but also numerous health benefits. Containing more antioxidants and less starch than traditional potatoes, this variety is rich in vitamins A, B, C, K, and E, as well as potassium, magnesium, and fiber. Its vibrant hue comes from anthocyanins—pigments responsible for the blue and purple shades found in many agricultural crops.

By the end of April, the assortment will be further expanded with a diverse range of seedlings, including cabbage, cucumbers, onions, Chinese cabbage, and other crops. A key advantage for local gardeners is convenience: customers do not need to travel outside the city to make their purchases. All four “KRiMM” retail stores are located within the city limits of Tyumen, making it easy for dacha enthusiasts to prepare for the upcoming planting season with high-quality, locally sourced products.
