Abdul Khuram Wahid, CEO of Green Perfect Plant in Pakistan, a seed potato company founded in 2021, joins the Potato Expert Panel by Potatoes.News.
Abdul Khuram Wahid, CEO and Managing Partner of Green Perfect Plant (GPP) in Pakistan, has joined the Potato Expert Panel by Potatoes.News. GPP is an agricultural biotechnology and seed potato company established in 2021.
Tissue culture, aeroponics and clean seed
According to his submission, GPP produces disease-free seed potatoes through a structured multiplication system, from in-vitro plants and G-0 mini-tubers to later seed generations. The company uses potato tissue culture and aeroponic technology.
Areas of expertise
- Seed potato production and multiplication
- Potato tissue culture and aeroponics
- Disease-free planting material
- Technology transfer to growers
WHY IT MATTERS
Seed quality decides yield and disease risk for the whole crop. Countries that depend on imported seed face higher costs and less control over planting material. For growers, seed companies and traders, a local source of clean seed is a practical way to reduce both. Wahid joins the panel alongside Navid Suthar of M S International and Harsh Patel of Potato Intel, who were introduced earlier.
