A delegation from the Fergana Region of Uzbekistan has arrived in the Omsk Region to discuss investment opportunities in the local agricultural sector. The working visit began with a tour of an exhibition held as part of the “Days of Uzbek Culture in Omsk” festival, an event that vividly showcases the richness of Uzbek traditions and helps foster intercultural dialogue. The guests also visited municipal districts within the Omsk Region to explore potential sites for future joint projects.
During the meetings, the hosts from Omsk proposed focusing on a detailed discussion of investment projects, primarily in agriculture, including potato cultivation. According to Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, representatives from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the Development and Investment Agency, the Competence Center for Agricultural Cooperation and Farmer Support, as well as investment commissioners from various districts, presented the Uzbek partners with current opportunities, specific investment proposals, and the terms for implementing these projects.
