Lay’s announced it was offering the equivalent of a comforting bowl of chili in the form of a potato chip with the introduction of new Game Day Chili potato chips.
According to the company, the idea behind this limited-edition flavor is that it turns a fan-favorite meal into a chip form. The bag details a bowl of beef chili with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chives, but what consumers can expect is “the classic combination of tomatoes, chili peppers, onion, garlic, and Tex-Mex spices with a little back-end kick,” said a press release.
As with many of Lay’s specialty flavors, the Game Day Chili variety will only be available for a limited time. Arriving just in time for Super Bowl, Game Day Chili potato chips are set to hit shelves across the US the first week of January 2021 in 7.75 oz. bags for a suggested price of USD3.79 per bag.
