Backed by field trials and statistics, Guzmán highlighted the customary practice of applying the entire phosphorus and potassium dose pre-planting, along with a small proportion of nitrogen (approximately 20%) a few days before planting. The remaining nitrogen should be supplied starting from 20 days after emergence.
