Manter AutoPack HS+ Doubles Bag Magazine to 1,200, Targeting Hour-Long Autonomous Runs
Manter’s upgraded AutoPack HS+ bagging machine carries four 300-bag magazines, doubling capacity to 1,200 bags and allowing roughly an hour of autonomous operation at up to 21 bags per minute.
Dutch machinery maker Manter has introduced the AutoPack HS+, an upgraded version of its fully automatic bagging machine for potatoes, onions, carrots and nuts, built around a four-position bag magazine that doubles capacity from 600 to 1,200 bags.
The standard AutoPack HS fills and closes pre-made net, jute, poly and paper bags of 5 to 50 kg, using a rotating carousel with two bag magazines and servo-driven bag positioning. The new quad configuration fits four magazines of 300 bags each. At speeds of up to 21 bags per minute with 10 and 25 kg bags, the company says, the machine can run for roughly an hour before magazines need refilling — the figure that matters for packers chasing longer autonomous runs with lean crews.
The upgrade was developed by Manter engineer Gert-Jan in response to demand for more autonomy on packaging lines. When a magazine empties, its pins lower automatically, the carousel rotates 90 degrees and the next full magazine swings into position, so singulation resumes without operator input. An optional automated pin-lift system raises the pins for refilling, removing one more manual step. Manter cites internal tests pointing to a potential 10% gain in hourly output, while cautioning that the figure is still being validated under full production conditions.

The HS+ runs Manter’s own control software with touchscreen operation, communicates with the company’s weighers, supports Line Control and allows remote monitoring and adjustment by the service team. The configuration targets larger packing facilities where floor space is available and uptime is the priority.
A video of the quad magazine configuration is available on Manter’s channels; the press release is distributed in English and Dutch.
