The Lipetsk Region continues to hold leading positions in Russia in the production of a number of food products, with particularly notable results in potato processing — the region remains number one in the country. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, over 268 thousand tons of processed and preserved potatoes were produced in the region in 2025. Nearly half of all such products in Russia are manufactured here, and when it comes to frozen potatoes, the share of Lipetsk enterprises exceeds 97%.
In addition to potatoes, the region ranks first in the country for producing meat-containing preserves, meat products for baby food, yeast, and sugar beet pulp, according to Ekaterina Markova, Minister of Agriculture of the Lipetsk Region. The region is also in the country’s top five for the production of sugar, soybean and rapeseed oils, poultry meat preserves, processed fruits and berries, dairy and fruit-vegetable products, baby drinking water, greenhouse vegetables, and premixes.
