Lay’s Global Tastes Portfolio Brings International Potato Chip Flavors to U.S. Markets

Lay’s, a brand well-known for its flavor innovation, is inviting food enthusiasts to explore new culinary horizons with the launch of its Global Tastes portfolio this summer. This collection features three new potato chip flavors inspired by the unique culinary traditions of Greece, India, and Korea. These limited-time offerings—Lay’s Wavy Tzatziki, Lay’s Masala, and Lay’s Honey Butter—are hitting U.S. store shelves, giving consumers a chance to taste international flavors without leaving the country.

Lay’s Wavy Tzatziki, inspired by the refreshing Greek classic, brings together the flavors of yogurt, lemon, dill, garlic, and other Mediterranean elements in a crunchy form. The chips capture the essence of tzatziki sauce, offering a crisp and creamy taste that echoes the richness of Greek cuisine.

Lay’s Masala takes its inspiration from the vibrant spices of India. Combining cumin, coriander, turmeric, and pepper, these chips offer an authentic taste of traditional Masala dishes, creating a rich and aromatic snacking experience.

Lastly, Lay’s Honey Butter flavored potato chips transport consumers to Korea, where the beloved combination of buttermilk, honey, and butter creates a sweet and savory taste sensation. This flavor captures the popularity of honey butter in Korean snacks, delivering a unique blend of smooth and sweet flavors.

Tina Mahal, Senior Vice President of Marketing at PepsiCo Foods North America, emphasizes that Lay’s fans have long been asking for the flavors they encounter while traveling abroad to be available in the U.S. “At the height of the travel season, we’re excited to make those dreams a reality and bring them adventure through every bite of our Global Flavors lineup,” Mahal stated. With over 200 flavor variations already in their portfolio, Lay’s continues to demonstrate its expertise in creating tastes that resonate with diverse communities worldwide.

To further enhance the global experience, Lay’s is offering one lucky fan the opportunity to win a trip to one of the flavor-origin countries—Greece, India, or Korea. Fans can enter the sweepstakes by scanning a QR code on the back of Lay’s Wavy Tzatziki, Lay’s Masala, or Lay’s Honey Butter chips, or by visiting laysflavordrop.com between August 12 and September 28.

This summer, Lay’s Global Tastes Portfolio will be available at retailers nationwide and through Snacks.com for a limited time, while supplies last. For a visual journey of these international flavors, fans can also check out the new online video released today, showcasing how Lay’s global variations act as portals to experiencing the tastes of other countries.
