This year, INTERPOM, the leading trade fair for the entire potato chain, will be held on 27, 28 and 29 November 2022 in Kortrijk Xpo (Belgium). After being postponed, the 20th edition was exceptionally held last year, but with the upcoming edition we are now back on track for good. This means that, in the future, INTERPOM will continue as a biennial event taking place in even years. The theme of this year’s edition will be: ‘Towards a healthy growth’.

INTERPOM almost fully booked (90% sold already) and all major brands present
INTERPOM is Europe’s most specialised indoor trade fair where the entire potato chain is present: from cultivation to processing and marketing. INTERPOM is where professionals from the entire chain can find an unrivalled, complete and specific range of products, machines, services and digital technologies. Growers, contractors, processors, packers, buyers and traders of fresh and processed potatoes from all over Europe faithfully visit INTERPOM, and the trade fair also attracts an increasing number of visitors from other continents. More than 270 exhibitors from 15 countries have already confirmed their presence. This means that the fair is already 90% sold out just three months before the official opening.

Towards a healthy growth

At the end of November, INTERPOM will once more be the ultimate trade platform for any professional interested in the latest market developments, price trends and innovations. The theme chosen by the organisers of the event, namely ‘Towards a healthy growth’, is intended to emphasise the responsibility incumbent on every link in the chain to work together towards sustainable, responsible and consequently healthy growth. ‘Healthy growth’ is all about cultivation methods, land use, growing in a socially responsible way, but also about sustainable transport and processing, autonomous energy use and sustainable water management. Combine all this with the super healthy character of the potato as a food bomb and you get the whole picture!

Innovation Tour
Innovation is key to achieve healthy, sustainable growth and to be able to tackle the current challenges, such as climate change, water scarcity, fertiliser shortages, labour shortage and rising costs of raw materials and energy. With the help of an independent group of experts, INTERPOM has selected a number of must-see innovations developed by exhibitors that not only provide added value for users, but also benefit the entire potato chain. These innovations will be announced in November and will be highlighted at the fair via a special route called the INNOVATION TOUR, as well as via all available digital channels.

Seminars: from drought issues to disease control and price inflation
The seminars taking place at the trade fair will focus on knowledge sharing. The wide-ranging programme will address both hot topics and innovative projects. The programme was compiled by Belgapom and will highlight themes such as manure management, water use and drought issues, inflation and rising prices of raw materials, agroecology, potato disease management and the latest developments in automation and precision agriculture.

The full programme will be announced at the end of September on www.interpom.be.

Online visitor registration and ticket sales started
In order to purchase their entrance ticket, trade visitors must first pre-register online via the website of the trade fair. Those with a free invite or a discount code also need to pre-register using the code mentioned on the invite. Visitors will only receive their entrance passes after registration (and payment if applicable). Tickets can already be purchased online through www.interpom.be.

Dynamic and international meeting point for information sharing

The location of the fair, Kortrijk, is right in the heart of a dynamic, strong and growing potato market. INTERPOM is therefore the perfect place to establish or maintain contacts with colleagues and suppliers from home and abroad. So this will be a very exciting meeting place for every person involved in the chain!
