Foodera Technologies Bets on India: New GIFT City Office, Local Service Team and a 2–3 Hour Response Ambition
Foodera Technologies is strengthening its presence in India. From November 2026, its new office in Ahmedabad's GIFT City will become home to its growing Indian team, bringing local service and support closer to customers while connecting them directly to the wider expertise of the group, the company announced on October 4, 2026.
The Indian organisation is led by Ekant Agarwal, Managing Director of Foodera Technologies India, together with Neeraj Singh, Business Head (Operations & Developments – India). "For us, being present in India is about much more than opening an office. It is about being closer to our customers, understanding what they need and giving them direct access to the people and technology that can help them move forward," Agarwal said. Two new colleagues join in November as Senior Service Engineer and Spare Parts Manager.
Foodera Technologies is the group brand uniting Kiremko, Idaho Steel, Reyco Systems, Tummers Group and Van der Giessen — and the Indian operation is built explicitly on the Kiremko and Tummers legacies in potato processing technology. "Combining our experience creates very short lines between our customers, our local specialists and the wider Foodera organization. We know the market, we know the technology and, most importantly, we know many of our customers personally," Singh said.

The practical content of the expansion is service speed. Foodera is investing in local spare parts availability, faster technical support, customer training and on-site service, with an ambition to respond to service requirements within 2–3 hours where possible and within 24 hours depending on the requirement. A fully equipped mobile service van is planned to bring specialists and tools directly to plants. New training programmes will target operators and technical teams on equipment performance, efficiency and process optimisation — "global expertise should feel local," as the company puts it.
The official unveiling comes at the Global Potato Summit on December 16–17, 2026 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where Foodera will present its latest developments for Indian processors: new processing lines, improvements to existing processes, service and spare parts, efficiency and sustainability.
The move reflects a broader realignment in the processing-equipment map. India's potato-processing capacity has been expanding on the back of a booming domestic snack and QSR market, and global line builders are racing to localise service footprints — in a market where a processing line idled for days waiting on a European spare part destroys the economics of the investment. With ICAR-CPRI's processing varieties such as Kufri Chipsona already anchoring raw-material supply, the bottleneck is shifting to installed capacity and its uptime — exactly the segment Foodera is targeting.
