Old habits die hard. So do stereotypes. It’s often assumed broadcast spinner spreaders don’t have the accuracy, precision, or technology as other application equipment, making them less effective in the field. Historically, that was true. Today, New Leader is rewriting the script on broadcast spinner spreaders with its innovative and revolutionary G5 spinner technology.
Fertilizer spinner spreaders

Myth 1: Broadcast spinner spreaders are not good at regulating where product is applied.

New Leader’s patented G5 spinner technology sets itself apart through its innovative fan frame movement and conveyor speed adjustments. By automatically shifting the fan frame fore and aft, and left and right, when applying nutrients on a field, operators are able to achieve up to 16-section swath width control. This allows for half-width spreading, last pass control, and boundary spreading. What does this mean for you? Proper nutrient placement, elimination of unnecessary overlap, decreased nutrient waste, and maximized ROI.

The G5’s automatic fan frame movement and conveyor speed adjustments also allows you to achieve superior variable rate application in real time, letting you maximize the field’s yield potential. If you have a prescription, New Leader’s G5 can fill it.

Myth 2: Broadcast spinner spreaders can’t spread more than 80’ wide effectively.

New Leader spreaders can effectively and accurately spread 80 feet wide. They can also effectively and accurately spread 90 feet wide, and with certain products, even wider than that. New Leader’s unique spinner design prevents the lofting or dropping of products and instead pierces the wind in a horizontal plane. This allows for a wider, more effective spread pattern, even in windy conditions compared to other application equipment.

We know it’s hard to trust the pattern behind you when you can’t see it out your window. But with New Leader’s distribution system tucked safely at the rear of the machine, you don’t need to worry about fence posts, trees, or hills damaging your equipment. Achieve a wider spread pattern without the worry with New Leader spreaders.

Myth 3: Spinner spreaders utilize less technology, which makes them less accurate in the field.

New Leader’s G5 contains innovative and revolutionary spinner technology that brings an unprecedented level of precision application to the fertilizer spreader industry. The difference between  G5 broadcast spreaders and other precision application equipment? The New Leader technology is tucked safely in the spinner assembly at rear of the machine, away from fence posts, hills, and tough spreading conditions. While the majority of spinner spreaders on the market today do not allow for precision application, New Leader’s G5 gives operators the ability to spread nutrients in up to 16 sections. This section control technology ensures proper nutrient placement, eliminates unnecessary overlap, and decreases nutrient waste.

New Leader’s G5 also comes equipped with a user interface that is intuitive and easy to use. Features include diagnostic feedback and automated service notices. Cables and software make it plug-and-play for use with any compatible controller, so you only need to learn one system.

When peak spreading season hits and machines are running long hours, having equipment that’s durable and user-friendly with less moving parts can make all the difference.

Myth 4. Spinner spreaders can only apply one product at a time.

For some of the competitor spreader manufacturers out there, this statement is still true. New Leader spreaders on the other hand were designed to maximize your productivity in the field. The MultiBin insert lets you spread up to 4 products independently or simultaneously, at straight or variable rates, in a single pass. If you only have two-product spreading needs, the MultApplier insert turns your single-hopper unit into a dual hopper-unit. And, just like with the MultiBin, you can spread those two products independently or simultaneously, at straight or variable rates. Both inserts are equipped with stainless steel connections for easy install and removal.

If a single hopper for your blended product is all you need, New Leader’s high capacity, high output spreaders will let you cover more acres per day and maximize your ROI in the machine.
Nothing causes a headache like multiple passes in a field during peak spreading season. Increase your productivity by simply having more flexibility to choose your options.

Myth 5: Broadcast spinners aren’t reliable in windy conditions.

Endless hours and effort go into each field to ensure its yield is maximized to its fullest potential. But your best made plans are rendered useless if you can’t execute them when and how you need to.

Application windows are shrinking every year. The agricultural industry is facing the challenge of doing more with less. While we all hope for ideal conditions, rarely do we get them. When windy conditions are present, you don’t have the luxury of waiting to apply products to the field. New Leader’s patented and unique spinner design prevents the lofting or dropping of nutrients and instead pierces the wind. This lets the distribution of product to be less affected by wind and more capable of achieving a precise and accurate spread pattern even in windy conditions.
