Dagestan Continues Active Harvest of Open-Ground Vegetables and Potatoes
Dagestan is continuing its active harvest of open-ground vegetables and potatoes, according to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Current data show that open-ground vegetables have been harvested from an area of 24,700 hectares, with a gross yield of 795,800 tonnes and an average yield of 322.2 centners per hectare.
Potatoes have been harvested from 11,000 hectares, producing 198,200 tonnes with a yield of 180.2 centners per hectare. The ongoing harvest reflects the region’s steady progress in vegetable and potato production as the season advances.
