Agricultural producers in the Bryansk Region have started planting “the second bread,” as potatoes are often called. The first farms to begin the work are located in the southwest of the region, specifically in the Novozybkovsky, Starodubsky, Krasnogorsky, Pogarsky, and Unechsky districts. To date, early potatoes have already been planted on more than nine hundred hectares.
The remaining districts will join the planting campaign a little later, depending on soil readiness. For successful potato cultivation, the ground must warm up sufficiently. Once the soil reaches the appropriate temperature, planting will commence across the entire region.
