A Leap Forward in Regenerative Fertilizer Production
In a significant move towards sustainable agriculture, Tidal Grow AgriScience, headquartered in Bellingham, Washington, has been awarded a USDA Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (FPEP) grant. This grant aims to triple the production of Tidal Grow’s renowned seafood hydrolysate liquid fertilizers, Oceanic® and SeaPhos®. The funding will facilitate the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Orange, Texas, and expand existing operations in Washington, drastically increasing the availability of these advanced bioactive carbon-based fertilizers.
Meeting the Rising Demand for Sustainable Solutions
The USDA’s investment highlights the increasing demand for climate-smart, resilient, and effective fertilizers manufactured domestically. The fertilizers produced by Tidal Grow AgriScience utilize upcycled waste from the seafood industry, providing an innovative solution to some of agriculture’s most pressing challenges. As Norm Davy, CCO of Tidal Grow AgriScience, stated, “Amidst continued global conflict and disrupted supply chains, American growers need novel regenerative solutions that improve soil and plant health to achieve higher yields.”
The Power of Bioactive Carbon-Based Fertilizers
Tidal Grow AgriScience’s fertilizers are cold-processed and carbon-based, offering enhanced nutrient uptake and soil health benefits. These fertilizers are enriched with marine-based omega lipids, amino-acid nitrogen, and crucial soluble nutrients such as phosphorus and calcium. By tripling production capacity, Tidal Grow aims to meet the increasing demand from growers and agronomists nationwide.
Strategic Expansion for Efficient Distribution
The new facility in Orange, Texas, along with the expanded operations in Washington, will streamline the supply chain, ensuring efficient distribution of Tidal Grow’s fertilizers across the United States. The strategic location of these facilities is designed to support America’s crop production effectively.
A $10 Million Investment in the Future of Agriculture
In response to the growing market demand, Tidal Vision plans to invest over $10 million in capital growth. This investment will not only scale the manufacturing of Tidal Grow’s current product portfolio but also introduce new technologies to the market within the next three to five years. As Tom Robeson, VP of Manufacturing at Tidal Grow AgriScience, noted, “This grant enables us to triple supply for growers nationwide and supports domestic production with next generation technologies.”
Tidal Grow AgriScience’s receipt of the USDA grant represents a substantial advancement in the field of regenerative agriculture. By tripling the production capacity of their innovative fertilizers, Tidal Grow is set to meet the rising demand for sustainable and effective agricultural solutions. This expansion not only supports domestic agriculture but also reinforces the commitment to circular, climate-smart technologies that improve soil health and crop yields.
