Russia’s trade turnover with neighboring countries increased by 7% in 2023 to 56.2 billion US dollars. Kazakhstan remains the country’s main business partner with a trade volume of $26 billion. Uzbekistan is in second place, with the turnover of goods increased by 5.4% last year to $ 9.9 billion. Armenia is also among the top three, with a 1.4-fold increase in this indicator to $7.3 billion.
The fourth place is occupied by Azerbaijan, the trade turnover with which has increased by 18% and amounted to 4.4 billion dollars. Kyrgyzstan turned out to be Russia’s fifth largest partner, although the volume of trade with this republic decreased by 17%, reaching $2.9 billion. But the turnover with Tajikistan increased by 2.7% to a record $ 1.7 billion.
