In many Russian regions, food inflation has long passed the 10 percent mark. The list of food products, the prices of which have risen by more than 30 percent, includes several names of vegetables.
In the first place in terms of cost growth were tomatoes, which rose in price by 52 percent over the year. The increase in the price of potatoes was 47 percent. Beetroot is now more expensive for consumers by 30.8 percent, and garlic – by 33.8 percent.
