Preliminary results of the agricultural season were summed up in the Saratov region

The regional Ministry of Agriculture announced the first figures to assess the results of the Saratov agro-industrial complex in 2024.

In the past season, representatives of the vegetable growing industry have shown themselves worthily. By mid–November, 334 thousand tons of open and closed ground vegetables were harvested in the region, and 110 thousand tons of potatoes.

From January to September, farmers in the region purchased 201 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. The park of agricultural machinery has been replenished with various types of machines and aggregates totaling more than 10 billion rubles.

The Saratov Region took the third place in the Volga Federal District in terms of wages in the industry. In comparison with the same period last year, the salary growth of local farmers exceeded 18 percent.

The region has completed the implementation of 49 major investment projects estimated at three billion rubles. 115 new jobs have been created at agricultural enterprises.
