Potatoes.News and IPT Launch a Test Network for Potato Industry Professionals
Potatoes.News and the International Potato Tour have opened a beta professional network for the global potato industry, internationalpotatotour.com, and are inviting growers, seed producers, processors and researchers to join during testing; a mobile app is planned for 2027.

Potatoes.News and its sister initiative, the International Potato Tour (IPT), have opened a test version of a new professional network for the global potato industry, inviting growers, seed producers, processors, researchers and other industry professionals to join while it is in beta.
According to Potatoes.News, the project grew out of a steady stream of requests from the industry: a large number of potato growers and other professionals have been reaching out asking for a shared place to request and share information within the trade. In response, the team built what it describes as a working, though still test-stage, site at internationalpotatotour.com, and is inviting the industry to help create what it is calling the first network of its kind for the sector.
What the site offers. The platform itself describes its current stage as a “public beta” and “community preview,” with registration by invitation while testing continues and every membership application reviewed before access is granted. It groups ten open industry topics — including agronomy, seed potatoes and breeding, storage, processing, machinery and crop protection — alongside directories of members, companies and experts shown only with their permission, an industry feed and photo reports, and sections covering the potato value chain and international tours and exhibitions, next to Potatoes.News‘ own reporting.
