Potato harvesting has begun in the farms of the Komi Republic

As the head of the region, Vladimir Uiba, said, in 2024, the republic plans to receive about six thousand tons of potatoes. The farms of Syktyvkar, Sysolsky, Syktyvkar, Ust-Vymsky, Kortkerossky and Ust-Kulomsky districts have already begun work.
Today, the second bread has been dug out on an area of 105 hectares, which is 29% of the plan. 2,495 thousand tons of tubers were harvested from the fields – 42% of the plan.
Among the most popular varieties among local farmers are Gala, Red Scarlett, Ryabinushka, Rosara, Aurora, Flamingo, Memphis.
