Governor Oleg Melnichenko during his visit to the Penza region visited the production area of a local agricultural company. He positively assessed the installation by the enterprise of a new line, which sends washed and packaged potatoes for sale.
The enterprise, opened in 2013, specializes in crop production. It produces oilseeds, cereals and legumes, as well as potatoes and vegetables grown in the open field.
Every year the company develops and puts into circulation more and more land. The storage facilities are designed to store 34 tons of products. The production line with a capacity of 90 tons per day allows you to wash, sort and pack potatoes in individual packaging. The farm employs over 50 people. The machine park of the agricultural company is more than 100 pieces of equipment.
“Good thing, this direction needs to be developed. Growing potatoes and other vegetables in the Penza region is promising, the products are in demand. In modern conditions, it makes sense to increase the volume of this type of production,” the governor said.
This and last year, the company was allocated more than 2 million rubles of subsidies under the state program “Development of the agro-industrial complex of the Penza region,” the press service of the regional government reports.
