The Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan summed up the results of the first half of 2022: the ministry announced data on GDP growth and the state budget
DUSHANBE, July 18 – Sputnik. In Tajikistan, the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) for the first 6 months of 2022 is estimated at 46.2 billion somoni. This was announced by the Minister of Finance of the Republic Fayziddin Kakhhorzoda during a press conference.
According to him, the GDP growth rate for the first half of 2022 amounted to 7.4%. At the same time, for the same period in 2021, the figures reached 8.7%. These figures are the highest in the last 5 years.
Then, in monetary terms, the gross domestic product of Tajikistan for the first half of the year amounted to 39.9 billion somoni.
GDP growth was due to an increase in industrial production, foreign trade turnover and investment in the country’s fixed capital.
In addition, Kakhhorzoda announced the income of Tajikistan. The plan for revenues to the republican budget was overfulfilled by 4.2%, to the regional – by 5%.
At the end of April 2022, the Ministry of Finance announced that the established plan for budget revenues was exceeded.
Representatives of the department noted that this was due to the growth of tax revenues, the share of which in the revenue part exceeded 72%.
GDP of Tajikistan grew sharply
Even then, the authorities announced plans to cover the state budget deficit with proceeds from privatization, the use of state property, loans and grants from international financial organizations.
Recall that in 2022 Tajikistan will increase funding in almost all areas, except for providing funds to the state apparatus.
In percentage terms, growth in the following areas stands out: health care, the fuel and energy complex and agriculture.
