The Bryansk Region has approved the subsidy rate for agricultural producers engaged in potato and open-ground vegetable cultivation for 2026. The regional Department of Agriculture issued a corresponding order, setting the subsidy at 263.36 rubles per ton of sold produce. The total funding allocated for this support mechanism amounts to 134.3 million rubles, with the region’s planned gross potato harvest for the current season set at 510,000 tons. The new subsidies apply to the ongoing agricultural season.
A special multiplying coefficient is provided for farmers who use domestically bred seeds for planting. This measure aims to encourage the use of Russian potato varieties and support the development of local seed production, thereby strengthening food security in the region. Earlier, BryanskToday reported that annual inflation in the Bryansk Region dropped to 5.47% in February 2026, down from 6.21% the previous month, and below the national average of 5.91%.
