Description of the VARYAG seed potato variety
The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, semi-erect.
The leaf is medium-sized, open, green.
The intensity of anthocyanin coloration of the inner side of the corolla is from weak to medium.
The commercial yield is 138-409 kg/ha.
The maximum yield is 435 kg/ha.
The tubers are oblong, with very small eyes. The peel is yellow. The flesh is creamy.
Mass of commercial tuber 97-129 g.
The starch content is 14.7-15.6%.
The taste is good and excellent. Suitable for frying, cooking and baking.
Marketability 83-97%. The shelf life is 95%.
Potato “VARYAG” is resistant to the causative agent of potato cancer, susceptible to golden potato cyst-forming nematode.
According to the creator, it is resistant to wrinkled striped mosaic.
