Potato harvesting in the Ural Federal District has reached the finish line. The work remains to be carried out on an area of less than seven percent of all fields occupied by culture.
In terms of the volume of harvested second bread, Ural potato growers are slightly behind their own last year’s figures. However, crop yields are high this season, and local authorities positively assess the results of the work of representatives of the sub-sector.
By the middle of this week, farmers in the regions of the district managed to collect 595 thousand tons of food potatoes.
