Utz, the renowned US salty snack food brand, has once again partnered with Mike’s Hot Honey to introduce an exciting new addition to their lineup – the extra-hot potato chips flavor.
This limited-time offering, available from now until September, takes the heat of the original Utz Mike’s Hot Honey chips to a new level, tripling the spiciness. These ‘swicy’ (sweet and spicy) potato chips are gluten-free, kosher-certified, and come in convenient on-the-go 2.625-ounce packs as well as larger 7.75-ounce sizes.
Originally introduced as a limited-time flavor in May 2023, the Utz Mike’s Hot Honey potato chips quickly captured consumer hearts, leading to their permanent inclusion in August of the same year. The success of this launch surpassed sales records of Utz’s previous limited-time releases.
Amber McGrogan, Utz Brands’ marketing director, expressed, “With hot and spicy currently dominating the salty snack market, we aimed to provide fans with an even spicier snacking experience following the triumph of our original Mike’s Hot Honey potato chips.”

In line with the ‘swicy’ trend, Utz also introduced Utz Mixed Mini pretzels in Mike’s Hot Honey flavor in March 2024, expanding the ways fans can savor the delightful sweet heat of Mike’s Hot Honey.
The Utz Mike’s Hot Honey Extra Hot potato chips are now accessible at major grocery, mass, convenience retail outlets nationwide, and online.
