In a groundbreaking move, XAG Co Ltd, China’s leading agricultural drone manufacturer, revealed cutting-edge smart agricultural products and their applications at its annual technology conference. The company’s CEO, Peng Bin, highlighted advancements in autonomous driving, structural design, material science, and intelligent manufacturing, emphasizing improved performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. XAG’s latest offerings, including the P150 and P60 drones, promise higher operational efficiency, more flexible control, and reduced usage costs.

During the conference, XAG showcased the P150 agricultural drone, a versatile solution with functions including spraying, sowing, transportation, and aerial surveying. Boasting a maximum payload of 70 kilograms, a spraying flow rate of 30 liters per minute, and a sowing/material transportation speed of 280 kg per minute, the P150 sets new benchmarks in agricultural drone performance.

To address challenges in agricultural cultivation, XAG introduced the APC2 agricultural machinery autopilot system. In a country where the mechanization rate of crop cultivation has reached 72 percent, this system aims to enhance the capabilities of traditional agricultural machinery with precise and efficient automation. The APC2 system, leveraging Beidou’s high-precision navigation, empowers these vehicles with automation capabilities, reducing the reliance on manual labor.

Data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs indicates that China’s comprehensive mechanization rate for crop cultivation is at 72 percent, boasting over 20 million tractors, particularly medium and large ones. Despite this, the loss of rural laborers has made it challenging for farmers to hire experienced machinery operators. XAG’s APC2 system comes as a timely solution to alleviate these challenges, providing precision and efficiency in agricultural tasks.

XAG’s technological advancements mark a significant leap in the realm of unmanned agricultural production. The P150 and P60 drones, along with the APC2 autopilot system, exemplify the company’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and contributing to the evolution of smart agriculture in China. As the agricultural landscape continues to evolve, embracing these innovations is crucial for sustainable farming practices.
