According to the Ministry of Economy of the country, the budget aimed at the development of sectoral programs in 2023 amounted to 41.58 billion drams. And in the current season, the authorities plan to spend 44.05 billion drams on agriculture.
The Government of the republic annually increases financial injections into the industry. Modern programs are aimed at the development of resource-saving technologies, the production of ecological food products, and the formation of a new agricultural culture.
Armenia relies on the export potential of the agricultural sector. First of all, we are talking about the sale of fruits and vegetables outside the country, including food potatoes. The republic plans to increase the share of agriculture in the gross domestic product to 1.5 trillion drams by 2026.
