Too many nitrates were found in vegetables.
Rospotrebnadzor specialists in the first half of 2022 checked Tambov enterprises selling fruits and vegetables. Laboratory studies were carried out.
A total of 513 samples were taken. In two samples of fresh carrots, experts found that nitrate levels were exceeded. According to unsatisfactory results of laboratory tests, 20 kilograms of carrots were rejected.
The Office of Rospotrebnadzor for the Tambov region recalls: vegetables and fruits should be purchased only in authorized trade places where there is the necessary documentation for the products. When buying, be sure to pay attention to the type of vegetables and fruits, the conditions for their storage.
