Potatoes will be allowed to be stored in military bunkers on the border of Estonia with Russia

The Estonian authorities will allow the owners of the lands through which the Baltic defense line will run to use military bunkers for economic purposes. For example, they will be allowed to store potato crops here.
By using military facilities as vegetable storages, farmers will also be able to earn money at the expense of the government. The promise to pay compensation for the fact that bunkers occupy their land has already been made.
At the end of January 2024, as part of agreements with neighboring Baltic countries, Estonia allocated 60 million euros to build 60 bunkers along its southern border.
