The total sowing area is more than last year’s by more than 1.5 thousand hectares.
“Potato planting continues in the Moscow region. Sowing was carried out on an area of more than 13,000 hectares, which is 1,650 hectares more than last year,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region, who is in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Now, in terms of the sowing campaign, the city district of Stupino is in the lead, where about 390 hectares have been sown (111% of the plan), Taldomsky city district is in second place, where sowing has been completed on an area of almost 1,020 hectares (109% of the plan). More than 700 hectares have been sown in the urban district of Klin (105% of the plan).
Also, potato sowing was completed in the urban districts of Yegorievsk, Serpukhov, Istra, Orekhovo-Zuevsky, Bogorodsky, Volokolamsky and Pushkinsky.
