In recent years, new Russian varieties have appeared on the market, including Nevsky, Ossetian, Sadon, Carmen, Prime. But farmers do not show much interest in them. According to experts, in order to promote and popularize domestic potatoes, it is necessary to attract the attention of the end consumer.
There is a proposal for the development of a special brand and labeling of tubers coming for retail sale. Customers will know that they have a completely Russian product in front of them, and they will be able to vote for it in rubles. A positive response from the management of large retail chains to this initiative has already been received.
